According the latest Flash Report of the Public Procurement Authority, contracting authorities conducted 5107 effective public procurement procedures in the first three quarters of 2025, which meant the conclusion of in total 11440 public contracts, amounting to HUF 3374,3 billion.
In the first three quarters of 2025, the number of procedures lowered by more than 11 percent, while the number of contracts decreased by 9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, nevertheless, the value of contracts expanded by about one fifth. Over 90 % (92,4%) of the value of public contracts were related to procedures above EU thresholds, which meant a 3,6 percentage points rise compared to the same period of the previous year. Based on the subject-matter of procurement, most procedures accounted for public supply, however, the majority of the total value, over 40 percent were related to public works, amounting to HUF 1400 billion in total.
