One of the priority tasks of the Public Procurement Authority it to support legal practitioners while issuing opinions. Every year, the Public Procurement Authority receives a very high number of requests for opinions, and the number of questions formulated shows a constantly increasing trend. The Public Procurement Authority issues an average of 400 opinions every year, in which more than a thousand questions are answered. Enquiries submitted to the Public Procurement Authority provide continuous feedback from legal practitioners on the practical implementation of public procurement legislation, and the functioning of public procurement in the economic environment. By channelling the experiences gathered from these feedbacks into the process of law-making, the Authority can contribute to shaping the future orientation of legislation. In addition, the experience gained also plays an important role in the preparation of guidelines, briefings to help legal practitioners.
