Public Procurement Authority

Our Tasks

Basic Information

The Public Procurement Authority was established by Act XL of 1995 on Public Procurement and was defined as a central budgetary organ. Act CXLIII of 2015 on Public Procurement (PPA) basically left its structure intact. The Authority is subordinated to the National Assembly.

Control

Registers

The Public Procurement Authority maintains the following registers based on the PPA:

  • list of contracting authorities
  • list of economic operators excluded from the public procurement procedure due to false data provision and unlawful influence
  • official list of qualified bidders
  • list of state public procurement consultants
  • list of economic operators declared reliable after self-cleaning
  • list of economic operators who have committed a serious breach of contract
  • list of sheltered workplaces.

Support

PP Academy

Within the framework of the Public Procurement Academy series, the Public Procurement Authority supports the application of public procurement law and disseminate good practice through the organisation of conferences and thematic seminars, contributing to the in-person professional training of hundreds of experts.
